Temari Balls
Temari balls are unique Japanese embroidered ornaments that are both decorative and full of meaning. Originally, they were made of fabric scraps and used as children's toys. There is also another theory - Temari had sweet herbs inside. Later Temari balls became an elegant craft for ladies of court who decorated their surface with fabric and silk. Patterns and colours reflected changes of seasons, holidays, important life events... Temari became a beautiful gift used as good wishes of health, wealth and success.
